Bug
Hello. There was a bug. After game started my turn was immidiatly skipped. I have two masseges in my Email. One after another. 5 minute diffrance. 
1) The game has been started 9:41
2) Your turn has been skipped 9:46

To be honest with some real life changes that have been happening lately, I'm not sure I want to commit to 1 day timer games anymore either. I think I'll also let others play this 2v2, and likely not participate in the 2v2 tourney either. Have fun guys.

Hi guys. After the last message from Hiliadan I see no ways to continue tryings for the new tourney =( Very often I get my turn at the night (after my playtime) and not always I have the possibility to play my turn in the morning. But without dependence of the time of getting my turn I can't follow 24-hours per turn anyway in 50 % of cases. So I will skip my turns. I don't want betray my teammate, so I should quit our game. Sorry for that

In the 2vs2 Tournament, it is much more important to stick to a 24 hours turn timer than in a 1vs1 Tournament. If you can't usually play a turn in 24 hours, then yes, maybe you should reconsider playing the tournament. Experience shows players not following 24 hours turn timer push their game beyond deadlines and cause "victory by score" situations. To play 50 turns in 3 months, you really need everyone to play in less than 24 hours.
Also please update your play times https://www.the-battlefield.c... and try to organize the turn order around that.

The rule allowing to play any settings is probably going to be scrapped. But there will remain some flexibility on timer, though I'll also add a rule to penalize teams not playing fast enough in case of "victory by score".

And of course, when you're on business trip or whatever, you can still post a message to ask for a delay of the turn timer.

(of course, I'm only talking about expected rules for the tournament here, so this does not apply to your game which is a friendly game)

Loki, I like to participate the tourney which is friendly to the players and their needs. So if Hiliadan will insist only on 1-day timer I will have to refuse to participate in it <smiletext6>  For me it's more comfortable to have at least 2-day timer because of fatigue from work, unexpected guests, mood etc. And during previous tourneys (2v2, 1v1) I have no objections from opponents (they are also ordinary people) with turning on 2-day timer. So in my opinion this rule about the timer is only proposal, not an unbreakable law  :whiteman  As well other rules. And players can propose some changes for each current match to make the session more fun or by other reasons. But I didn't see yet any proposals like that - I think it was because it may change game situation and inflict on the result. So to exclude any objections after the match's end no one proposes a changes.

working a lot as well my vote goes for 3 day timer , for hangover reasons etc.

I'd prefer 2 day timers as well. While I intend to not have it wait a day on my turn, I'm working a lot lately and prefer not to rush to do turns while tired if it comes up, or worry about rushing back from something to get a turn in that I didn't have time to do beforehand. Typically my turns are done in much less than a day average though.

I believe I can pause the game whenever anyone has a vacation or a real life commitment coming up so it won't be an issue

Btw I do agree with Hiliadan that since the tournament already takes like a year lol it is important everyone use a 1 day turn timer otherwise my son might have to sub in for me for the championship round since I will already have passed away ;-) JK but also not really

Haha Ok if you saw that Skuns I'm cool changing it to lvl 13 if everyone else is. Hiliadan did tell me personally that it is important in the tourney to have a 1 day timer so I'd like to practice with that if your cool with it. Shall I change hero level tonight when I get home?

Turn timer is the thing which is defined by participants of the session - you may find it in the rules too, I'm too lazy to find thats words for you, sorry.  So there may be no timer at all if all players are agree with it and they don't protract/delay their turns <smiletext0>  
About the settings - I saw max 13 lvl for heroes at Hiliadan's post on the AoW forum for the future tourney. So it is very likely that it will be such way)) But if you insist, that the rules are something non-changeable for many years - well, it's your choice
