Actually, can you put a timer on it, Gilafron? I think that would help light a fire under my ass.

I apologize to all. I'm just not finding the game interesting anymore. Is there any way to find a new player to replace me?

Is he writing via Team Messages? I am defeated anyway, so could finally leave this one

Game over for the Night King. That White Walker Slayer seems to be OP.

Wow, those dragons were truly awesome. I watched the replay and there was one dragon that got a crit and breathed fire for 60+ damage to a couple of its targets.

Burned to Death
Those Dragons clearly were to strong for my Ghouls. No Battle enchantment of any of my heroes, they tended to heal Units instead.

I am travelling for some days.

Attacked some week Units which were most likely a bait but I am surrounded by enemies anyway so gave a s***.

The Night King wishes you awful x-mas days!

I also want to add the following:

While I feel that the map maker got a few things wrong, and therefore express my (hopefully constructive) feedback, I've enjoyed playing the map. But, it cant be reinforced enough, as the map is currently, its an express train win for the NK. Another feedback would be that currently the map is not winnable by anyone than Danerys, maybe intended and maybe not. Consider that the NK is immune to Blight, have heavy defense against frost and physical pain, only spirit or fire/shock can hurt him. So what about giving the replaced units from WL/Rogue some of that damage channels?

It seems you are well aboard my feedback that Greyjoy is at heavy disadvantage starting at water, as it is 1 turn to disembark, and your soultuion to place a shrine next to the land is a competent one. But, look at the starting cities, and how many/few they have. Only solution is to engage in an alliance to be competetive, and looking at the different players opinion, this is not likable.

So there is 2 main problems:
1) Players dont want to form an end-game alliance, i.e. win alone
2) Winning alone is not possible except for the NK (and to a lesser degree Danerys, even if I personally dont think its feasible)

So, to improve the map, I would suggest:
Replace WL/Rogue units with counters for the NK
Place shrines that allow Greyjoy to disembark and still have movement (1 per city)
Increase amount of treasure sites to make other players viable
Reduce penalties for cities (they dont like any terrain)
Allow for settlers to make new cities

And by the way, thanks for your effort in making the maps/scripts - my feedback is only to improve

I agree, limiting flying/swimming is really important, as is dealing with the Trident. If I played as the NK on the current map version, I would absolutely be summoning as many floaters as I can. That would feel a bit cheesy, though.

Having water hexes start to freeze could be really interesting. If it happens too early that could give the NK even more of an advantage, but as a late game element that's a really interesting idea.

One of my intents was to limit flying and swimming units.  In large part, it was to make rivers that more of a hindrance.  In GoT books (ASOIAF for the book nerds like me), the Trident River in the middle of the map is huge.  Controlling and getting acroos it are important considerations.  Also, since Greyjoy is the only one with mariner and embark, I thought it would give him an advantage.  One thing I might do is make the approaching winter also freeze water hexes.  That way, the NK could start to cross rivers and oceans.

I know it's a real pain for Greyjoy to leave the Iron Isles.  I could place a Fickle Mermaid Monument outside his main city, so at least one stack of six would get its movement refreshed.

In the spirit of no flying, I also want to change the NK summoning spells.  Instead of all the floats, he would summon Archon skeletons.  I do really like how he's got undead frost giants in his army.  That's very thematic, just like the show.

Lastly, in this particular game I think the dragon fire will cause a lot of nuisance to the NK.  A couple white walker heroes are still 60% weakness against fire.  And there are Valyrian steel swords that are +25 physical damage vs white walkers (of course, white walkers start +10 defense).

I really like the NK being a human.  It makes it a very interesting game.

I could quit haha.
No, if he is AI from the beginning, he needs to be much stronger. No option for empire building as Emperor and he will just split his stacks and fuck up badly

One option to consider is to let an AI play the Night King instead of a human. That changes the dynamic a lot too.

I agree with marcus that banning alliances would make it very, very hard to beat the Night King. It does seem appropriate that no single player can beat him alone.

I do think it is still possible to beat him in our game, though.

What to do about flying/swimming units is a big, big question for this map. It makes a lot of sense to limit them, since that's more true to the GoT world. But it's tricky. It does seem like more of a disadvantage for the NK, actually. If I were playing the NK, I'm not sure how much of an effective attack I could ever make against Greyjoy. My main army would just never be able to reach him.

While I can agree that "no alliances" is good, this game is set up so that the Night King have an enormously powerful army, impossible for anyone to beat. So im not sure what you actually would prefer, no alliances (i.e. we cant fight together vs the NK) or keep alliances and therefore have a fighting chance?

Like Littlefinger pointed out, the NK's support units have more HP then any heroes/leaders/t3.

I think it was fun to try the map, but the limitations to have a fighting chance with flying/swimming units taken away from the WL line-up, I feel this game have very little chance to succeed, the NK will be able to steam roll through all domains until it becomes useless to go on, imho.

I will still do my best to saboutage for the NK, but I think there is little hope left for Westeros.

I agree on the "no alliances", it would give the game much more of the Game of Thrones feel IMHO.  Before my alliances there were many more options to consider (for me and what others may be trying to do to me).  In fact my first alliance with Littlefinger was more trying to get/verify information about Cersei than the Night King.  Not being able to verify what others told you they did or where the horde was means you have to have other means to verify.  It would make it much harder to fight the Night King and much easier to get stabbed in the back.  Again, much more like GoT.

I agree about no alliances.  It would make the choices of the "alive" leaders much more dire..  Plus attacks would probably be suicidal against the army of the dead.  So, who would take that first attack to only have their allies turn on them?
