Teams are set and cannot change.
Teams can change only in games where no team are set at the beginning of the game.

I think we should continue. Elysian apparently sent you his resources, now we would need dreamon to do the same but I'm more pessimistic about him as he hasn't replied for many days/weeks. So maybe the best is to kick him and let an AI replace him, better than having no-one playing and waiting for days for the timer to expire. What do you think?
If he answers, someone could indeed use his logins to give Marcus and Zytozid his resources but, if he answered, he could probably do it himself too.

Even if it's imbalanced, I think we can still all learn things. And with the resources from Elysian + the extra space you'll get, you may be able to compensate a little for the handicaps you have.

In any case, I can't start a new game while this one is running because of lack of time. But you can of course start a new game with other players.

I am not sure if it is technically possible, but if it is done it would create quite another imbalance considering that all four of us know each other's positions, strenghs and weaknesses, so it would be a bit heavy handed on the other side of the scale.

Its basically 2 against 4. Lets wait a few turns more, but might be better to simply kick them and play with the ai, at least no waiting 5 days for timer to be skipped.

Bad news: Won't do my turns myself until I'm back on November 12. I won't bring my laptop with me on vacation...sorry for any inconvenience guys!
I coudl ask my little brother to do my turns for me though, so I don't skip any.

If Elysian quit for good and won't transfer anything, I don't know whether the game will make much sense in continuing, as the setting is then far from what a normal game would be like. But I'm happy to stick through it till the bitter end of Sauna's butchers and Hil's empty threats

Will just be harsh for them to get beaten by the rest of us :-D

bad luck. Happens.
It's just sad because I believe this game is a nice opportunitiy to learn while also being exciting, because everyone also wants to play good and win.
And oyu never know what happens to your team mates in RL that might cause problems.

We can continue this game but maybe we should think about setting up a similar one? There should be more than enough beginners interested. And is Sauna a beginner? Of all what I've heard and what he said I think he is skilled.

Of course, i will crush him anyway. Just like Hil. Wait for my super Juggernauts firing phantasm warriors everywhere!

I feel sorry for Zytozid who have been very involved in the game to end up in the same team as 2 players skipping turns.

@Elysian, please send all your cities to Zytozid, and once he accept you can simply surrender your leader at the next turn.

@DreamOn, if you are unable to make your turn, please send a message to Hiliadan so he can pause the timer. Real life events always take priority, but please keep us informed!

Maybe dreamon is iwlling to provide his acces details (after he changed them) to someone so he can tak over and do this for him? Afterwards, dreamon can change his settings back, so no one can enter his account.

I think there are several peopel here who should be clearly trustworthy to that extent.

I also think it's ver sad we have a drop out but as I said: There is no option for another player to take over dreamons role in the match right?
In a live mp game wher you load everone can decide which faction he plays, so I think there you could also make someone else enter and continue for him but in PBEm that likely doesn't work as PBEM is connected to the account....

Yes, the surrender (probably) needs to happen on the turn after, to leave time for the others to accept the gifts.
Looks like you skipped your turn this time (did send you a message but was too late, less than 1 hour left when I saw I think) so you need to send the donations this turn and surrender next.

@Zytozid: I'm turning the turn timer to 5 days then.
@other team: please try to get in touch with dreamon so that he plays within 2 days (so that we avoid a 5 days wait with the new timer)... Your team is seriously disadvantaged by all the turn skipping, and it's sad to have 1 player skipping such an Academy game. <smiletext6>

Hey guys, I can't guarantee (but of course I will try) that I will be able to do my turns in the 2 weeks beginning from October 28th, as I will be visiting a marriage and on vacation/travelling afterwards.

Can we set off the turn timer for this time? I hope you are okay with this, else I'll need to give my account credentials to a friend who will do my turns for me or even skip them.

True..I also think they need to be accepted. Plus, someone needs to get these vassals back in line. It's not possible for one player to leave, "AI continues" and then another player takes his role, right?
In a live MP that might be possible but here?

That's somethign that also wouldn't be too bad to be added...option for someone else to continue turns for someone/take his role.

True, but Im just not sure to give the cities and surrender the same turn will work, have never tried this.
But I'm afraid that doing so wont actually send the cities/items as you need to accept this gifts?Â
The resources I know are removed directly, but not sure about the 2 others.

Oh... I hope your wrist heals up and you can come back to playing later (and you'll be welcome here!).

I think the least disrupting is to avoid you becoming an AI as AI plays really badly. So I think you should give all your cities to your allies, but distribute them as much as possible (not all to the same players), and they should not migrate them to avoid giving them a big boost in terms of RG and Race Happiness. You can also do the same with your items, gold and mana, and then you surrender. I'm not sure you can give your throne, so maybe it should stay under your control and become independent after your surrender.
Overall, your team will lose your Vassals, CP... but each player will become stronger, which should provide a short term boost. And in any case, the team will be stronger than if an AI managed your empire.
So that's more or less what Marcus and Zytozid said, except that I believe it's better for your team not to have an AI wasting the team's resources.

Woah Elysian, I'm sorry for you! Marcuspers is right: This is definitely MUCH more important than our academy game. Would be great if you could do exactly as Marcus said, just send gold/mana 1/3 to every team member and your cities to your nearest ally.
I hope you will be better soon!
