Well, I was killed this turn so the turn was fast in the end.

I played very badly at the beginning of this game and lost my Leader twice I think (or more?), also lost all my heroes and most of my army, all on my own by attacking Dungeons too hard for me. I was still playing as if there was no balance mod, but the changes brought by the mod + the current settings (no Starting Skill) makes Dungeons much harder and that's good.

We used one of our weakest remaining combo to fight Retro and mahimka because we totally underestimated them (and also because the next matches are going to be even tougher) and we paid that dearly with a lack of scouting vs opponents who took advantage of it. I think the last strategic sequence was pretty good from Retro and mahimka who set some traps I fall into, with Retro retreating with his troops except 1 elite stack who took my Throne after mahimka removed my eyes with a Crow taking a Watchtower (I didn't see it coming at all). And mahimka pretending to move west to take gladis' vassal just to let me charge forward and then killing me with another elite stack led by a hero we never saw during the whole game.
I knew we lacked scouting very badly as we didn't see our opponents' heroes for 90% of the game (and the Rogue hero from mahimka only on the last turn when I died).

I guess things would have been slightly different if I hadn't screwed up at the beginning as my troops would have been much stronger and able to take on mahimka (and get there much sooner). But would still have been a very balanced game which could go both ways.

Some achievements of our opponents won't be possible in v1.28 though and that would also have changed the results of this game.
"Warbreeds and Trolls are replaced by Ogres on Destruction Mana Node. Trolls are replaced by Ogres on Ancient Ruins"
The double attack on my Throne and my army was supported by 1 Troll and 3 Elite/Champion Trolls respectively, and the 2nd would not have succeeded without them. The one on my Throne might still have but would have been harder.

Hi! Sorry, I was not able to play my turn within 24 hours. I should be able to play in a few hours.
I am moving home and was busy buying and moving stuff most of Friday evening and Saturday, then I came back at 3am this night after a concert...

@marcus: there is a 48 hours turn timer to avoid turn skipping in cases such as mine or mahimka where we can't make it on time and do not warn in advance, but everyone plays within 24 hours, except mahimka and me for these 2 turns....

Hi guys,

The turn timer should be in place unless for specific reasons, such as planned holiday without internet access.
Its in everyone's benefit to actually finish a game, as the score win can sometimes be difficult to determine, and could lead to an undeserved victory/defeat.

Please confirm timer is activated once Mahimka have had a chance to reply.

"Trolls, Naga Slither, Naga Guardian and Naga Matriarch get "Greedy": The unit costs +25% upkeep. Naga Slithers, Guardians and Matriarches produced in a Naga Dwelling get “Hatched” and gets -25% upkeep, which means they cost 8 gold/turn (as before)."

That change was advertised months in advance and it was made clear round 3 would use v1.27. Just like round 4 will use v1.28. Please check the Tournament Player Pool regularly to be informed about what versions will be used in which round (basically one update per round) and what it contains.

During my current turn we discovered that upkeed of Regrowth units was increased by +25% with treat Greedy
Is it ok by tournament rules to do such critical changes for MC classes? In our case it is a rogue

Retromancer shared the video of his last turn and the mariner/vision range upgrade is not stacked anymore.

Good luck for the rest of the game, you dont need to share videos anymore.

Let m e explain how that happened:
Mahimka don't close the game after he plays,
He doesn't turn off the computer
So he can't receive message from the software about the update

To gladis, don't worry you forces in my domain are far away from mega vision range unit

Except that I moved or not moved units in Retro's Vision Range.
But I don't get why we played on then - if a fix was under work.
I waited already one day to play most of my turn and then I waited one night to send my turn.
But I don't want to get malus on a possible score result, so finally I had to send the turn.

But maybe mahimka even hasn't checked the vision range

The judges havent got access to the video yet, but there in theory, since playing on the non-updated version, yes he would have the same vision range as on retromancers last turn.

The options then are:
1. we revert turn, mahimka update the mod, and mahimka play his turn again (and remember he already moved all units, so it makes no difference)
2. you continue the game 

Since retromancer already shared his turn with mahimka, the vision range is already known to mahimka so it once more make no difference.
Also, the policy is not to revert the turns unless special circumstances and that leave us with only one real option.

Hi guys,

It could have been made more clear that you had to update the mod before playing your turn. Since you play the turn "together" and have recordings of all turns, the vision range of the team mate is easily accessible anyway, so no big problem in that regard.

@Retromancer, please update to the latest version of the mod, as per the rule 9 to use the latest version of the game.

@Retromancer, in regard of the second blog post, please refrain from such comments and trust that the judges deal with all information justly and fair.

if it so important to update mode before the turn please put the note about this in the game theme,
instead, you trying to catch us on update issue after the turn was made

as far as I know, mahimka didn't recieve any proposal from software to update the mod, we have video recording of the process please judges check that video (the one which was provided)

Hi, yes they can play.

Unless we state something in the game blog the game continues as normal and you keep send videos until we can verify all units are debuffed and the fix in place work as intended.
