The Championsleague is ongoing and its season 2 is starting in April 2022.
The 2019 PBEM Duel Tournament is finished.

- A PBEM tournament (the 2015 PBEM Duel Tournament) was organized and started in 2015. It was split into 3 tournaments (16 players; 8 players #1 and 8 players #2). It entered its final phase (between the winners of each of the 3 branches) in October 2016 and was won by gabthegab in March 2017. - The 2016 2vs2 Team PBEM tournament started on 15 July 2016 and was won by team Coup de Grâce (gabthegab and Tussel) on 23 October 2018. The finale and the semi-finale (the match in between was conceded by team Green elephant).
- The 2017 PBEM Duel Tournament started on 31 January 2017 and was won by gabthegab on 18 October 2018. The finale(gabthegab vs Jean de Metz) and the videos.
The 2018 PBEM 2vs2 Tournamentstarted on 17 September 2018 and was won by Dread & Mac (DreadReapr and marcuspers) on 1 June 2020. The 3vs3 Tournament started on 12 February 2018 and was won by Dos Equis XX ($eeR+El_Lobo+Badok) on 30 April 2021 , it has its own, dedicated, Pool: 2018 PBEM Team Mini-Tournament Discussion Pool The Championsleague:
Season 1 started on 13 October 2021 and was won by mahimka. It ended on 4 April 2022. Season 2 should start on 25 April 2022.

- Rule 2 has been modified: the host must now be #2 in the turn order (updated today)
For other topics, the judges mainly decided to stick to current rules. We're currently discussing the 1st turn reload rule.
The reasons for sticking with current rules are that support for changes is limited to 3-5 players, current rules are likely to increase the number of viable strategies (though sometimes it increases the luck factor) and some changes would mean a significant workload for judges.
The 1st round of the tournament should last 3 months because some players will be on holidays with limited internet access.
Please note that only 2 slots are left to join the tournament! And I know of about 6 players interested so we should be full and maybe have 1 or 2 reserve teams!

@Marcus: thanks for the bug report, it should be corrected in v1.15. I also think Ghoul Strike deals too much damage, what do you all think about it?

Maybe it would be an idea to switch it to melee only, like inflict dazzled?
It could also minimize the melee attack of the attacked unit.
One further idea could be to add this meele attack to the Necro heroe (if possible)
But switching to physical check could work fine
ED can be simply allowed to be obtained at lvl 7 or 8
So... mauve, Dagoth, rickiroo looking for team mates + probably other I don't know of.
Regarding removing stackable of inflict despair, I would like to remind of Exploit despair which works based on stack. Some good units in Necro class use Exploit despair
For what it is worth though, I would be in favour of a no-repeat rule for class and race if I was participating. It wouldn't affect me much at all in my choices, but it is more interesting to play against a greater variety of enemy leaders.
I understand that, but charm, seduce , convert works only if it doesn't have mind control immunity. Ghoul curse is no more OP (Only one chance per lvl 9 necro hero per battle). Most of good units (tier 3 and tier 4) has mind control immunity.
I agree energy drain stacks with inflict despair, we should consider energy drain as check against physical strength rather than spirit if that is possible. Energy drain is used by leader/hero which means hero/leader didn't perform any other valuable action we should also consider that.
Energy Drain gives very high chances to immobilize a unit every turn, that's why it should not be stackable.
