I changed number of heroes to 3 (1 leader + 3 heroes) because it is a larger map. They do not match player race.

Initially we will have a 2 day turn timer. If that does not work because you are going on a trip or something comes up please let me know and I will remove it. I will not put on a timer until after September 10 because I will be on a trip myself. If you have any other questions please let me know!

We can start sooner assuming everyone is okay with the settings, I did not think this game would fill up so fast! I just will be slow on turns from September 2-10. 

If everyone is okay with these settings I will make the game tomorrow. To make things fair the turns will be done as Team 1, 1,22,11,22. You can pick to be on team rrrrookie or team Dreadreaper. But if you want to win you should do team rrrrookie.

@fighter: as stated on top of the page "When everyone knows the values (classes / races, leaders) of others or at the end of the game, the values can be updated on this page, which will feed the meta statistics (please avoid revealing your or other player’s values when it may provide strategic information to your opponents)."

@all: rrrrookie told me he wanted to start the game around 10 September because he will be in holidays before that. I don't think he expected it to fill so quickly. I let him update you on the plans, especially since it seems you're 6 new players and 2 experienced players instead of 4/4.

Hello all AOW3 players!

I am starting a 4v4 academy game to help new players start playing PBEM matches here on the-battlefield.com! Each team of 4 will have 2 beginner players and 2 more experienced AOW3 PBEM players to help them get accustomed to the sometimes fast-paced play of PBEM. Do not let my name fool you, I am a more experience player and not a rookie. 

We will be using the vasyan PBEM mod. You can download it here:

This mod has balancing adjustments that we believe are important to having a fair and fun PBEM game. 

The settings will mostly be default settings but with the following items of note:
Large map
Underground
Continents
Defender strength: strong
Roads: few
Cities: Few 
Dwellings: Few
Water Slider at 25% 
Undiggable walls and Diggable Wall Sliders down to 15% 
All other sliders left untouched at standard 50 % 
 
Ironman Mode: on 
Seal Victory: off 
Unifier Victory: off 
Tactical Combat Mode - Against AI: Always Ask 

Game speed: Normal 
Starting Resource: Standard 
Starting Skills: Normal 
All Heroes Have Resurgence: Never 
Defenders Strength: Strong 
Cosmic Events: Medium 
Maximum Number of Heroes: 2 (1 Leader + 2 heroes) 
Maximum Heroes Level: 30

These settings are not written in stone so if you have a suggestion please say something and I will consider it. 

Once this game fills out or mostly fills out then I will go ahead and create it and tell you the password. I was planning to not have it ranked but if it seems like everyone wants it ranked then that is okay with me. I am sure I am leaving out some important details so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask! 

1 more think: if you quit or leave after the game has started and do not have a good reason then you are dead to me forever.

Thanks for your help, I re-registered using the link with a new name--old name was Jed Beans. Last time I remember skipping the clan query, because I wasn't part of a clan. This time I picked "no clan" and hit register and it worked. Looking forward to the game!

Yes. To download the mod you hit 'subscribe' then I believe you go to the 'user content' tab of the AOW3 launcher and hit update and it should be there and ready to go.

I think somehow you registered on My-League.com but not on the AoW3 league. So you need to click on the yellow button near "My AoW3 Games" in the top bar menu, or follow this direct link which should add you to the AoW3 league: http://www.the-battlefield.co... />
Then you should be able to join that game.

Hi, I'm a noob. How do I register for the ladder play to join the game? I'm confused, I thought I already was logged in. The hyperlink in the Rules page redirects to the main page. I think something might be lost in translation. Any help would be very much appreciated!

To download the mod all we have to do is hit the 'subscribe' button on the Steam page correct?
