The Championsleague is ongoing and its season 2 is starting in April 2022.
The 2019 PBEM Duel Tournament is finished.

- A PBEM tournament (the 2015 PBEM Duel Tournament) was organized and started in 2015. It was split into 3 tournaments (16 players; 8 players #1 and 8 players #2). It entered its final phase (between the winners of each of the 3 branches) in October 2016 and was won by gabthegab in March 2017. - The 2016 2vs2 Team PBEM tournament started on 15 July 2016 and was won by team Coup de Grâce (gabthegab and Tussel) on 23 October 2018. The finale and the semi-finale (the match in between was conceded by team Green elephant).
- The 2017 PBEM Duel Tournament started on 31 January 2017 and was won by gabthegab on 18 October 2018. The finale(gabthegab vs Jean de Metz) and the videos.
The 2018 PBEM 2vs2 Tournamentstarted on 17 September 2018 and was won by Dread & Mac (DreadReapr and marcuspers) on 1 June 2020. The 3vs3 Tournament started on 12 February 2018 and was won by Dos Equis XX ($eeR+El_Lobo+Badok) on 30 April 2021 , it has its own, dedicated, Pool: 2018 PBEM Team Mini-Tournament Discussion Pool The Championsleague:
Season 1 started on 13 October 2021 and was won by mahimka. It ended on 4 April 2022. Season 2 should start on 25 April 2022.

We'll play with v1.15 or v1.16 (slightly modified from v1.15, including bug corrections) of the balance mod.
After round 1, which should last 3 months because it will be played during the Summer holidays (following rounds will be 2 months long), we will play with v1.17 of the balance mod which will further fix issues with AD.
In order to finalize these changes and be able to test them as much as possible, we still need more feedback on the proposed changes to have a consensus on them. Also, please have a look at the discussion about Arcane Item Forge here: http://aow.triumph.net/forums... We need to remove the items giving mind control abilities, otherwise our efforts to limit mind control will be very flawed and some lucky players will be able to convert as before through items. The idea is to get changes related to Item Forge for v1.17 (round 2 of the tournament).

PBEM Duel tournament:
rrrrookie vs Warlord Keldon has an extension (round was supposed to end in 26 June) because the match started later due to a replacement
Sjow vs Blackcat: round is supposed to finish in early August. I suppose it will be finished before.
@all: it has been a month without anyone but Gilafron providing feedback on the forum. There are important topics to be discussed regarding Necro with immediate consequences for the tournament (hopefully we can get the changes implemented before the beginning of the tournament) and for AD, for which changes would be implemented at the end of round 1.

Rogue heroes and leaders can choose Antiserum for 4 points at level 5. Antiserum can be used once per battle on a Poisonned unit (touch ability): it heals 10 HP and gets 100% Blight Protection for one round.

ANNOUNCEMENT for the tournament:
It is forbidden to exchange back and forth cities between allies to achieve Empire Quests. One player can give cities to his allies but then his ally cannot give them back until the end of the game. The only exception is if the initial giver has lost all his cities, in which case his ally can give him one city back.
Similar exploits are banned.

Judges (Markymark, Fistandantilus and me) went against reroll on turn 1. As DreadReapr pointed out, with weak starting army, everyone has the same units. I've never heard of hated or disliked starting terrain. If that happens, the best is that the host sends a screenshot to judges and we'll see on a case by case basis.
A good reason for reload would be if tournament settings had not been respected, but then you would need judges' approval.
The start date is still 15 July because we need time to get v1.15 and then test it a few days to make sure it works properly.
By the way, the suggestions made will be taken into account for next tournament (probably 1vs1 PBEM) and for instance, we could have a "never the same class nor the same race" tournament next time.

How about combining it with cure disease (max +10 HP + xx % of blight resistance) and call it "antiserum" e.g..
The discussion now could be, whether the unit HAS to be poisened or something like that to do this ability in battle.
If you then compare it to break control, it is also possible to give 100% blight resistance for only one round. Ofc heroe can perform it only once per battle.
It could match up with the idea of rogue as the unit has now a good chance of slaying the enemy unit which has poisened him before
PS: I think a reload in round 1 is not needed. I think there is already the chance of sening a screen to the judges if there are problems with mines/nodes or something. Or is it about loosing the leader in the 1st round?
