The Championsleague is ongoing and its season 2 is starting in April 2022.
The 2019 PBEM Duel Tournament is finished.

- A PBEM tournament (the 2015 PBEM Duel Tournament) was organized and started in 2015. It was split into 3 tournaments (16 players; 8 players #1 and 8 players #2). It entered its final phase (between the winners of each of the 3 branches) in October 2016 and was won by gabthegab in March 2017. - The 2016 2vs2 Team PBEM tournament started on 15 July 2016 and was won by team Coup de Grâce (gabthegab and Tussel) on 23 October 2018. The finale and the semi-finale (the match in between was conceded by team Green elephant).
- The 2017 PBEM Duel Tournament started on 31 January 2017 and was won by gabthegab on 18 October 2018. The finale(gabthegab vs Jean de Metz) and the videos.
The 2018 PBEM 2vs2 Tournamentstarted on 17 September 2018 and was won by Dread & Mac (DreadReapr and marcuspers) on 1 June 2020. The 3vs3 Tournament started on 12 February 2018 and was won by Dos Equis XX ($eeR+El_Lobo+Badok) on 30 April 2021 , it has its own, dedicated, Pool: 2018 PBEM Team Mini-Tournament Discussion Pool The Championsleague:
Season 1 started on 13 October 2021 and was won by mahimka. It ended on 4 April 2022. Season 2 should start on 25 April 2022.

After discussions among judges, it was decided that in the end all games will get +4 weeks, which will technically prevent an update of the Strong Defenders Normal Rewards in the middle of round 2.

It is possible that additional extra time will be given, as the discussion is still ongoing among judges.
Regarding teams where 1 player wants to leave, as already announced before, it is not possible to make replacements. A team is composed of two players, if one leaves, the team is disqualified from the tournament, and needs to be replaced by a new team. In round 3 and later rounds, only teams who got a similar number of victories/losses can replace disqualified teams.

After some delay, the physical prize has been sent to gabthegab! I hope he'll send us a photo after he receives it! It's an item to remind him of his great AoW3 deeds.
31€ are left after all the prizes and overheads have been paid for, see details on the prize page for the tournament.
A quick poll has been launched to decide what to do with these extra money. Could the 11 players who made donations for the 2017 Duel Tournament and the 12 players who did for the 2018 Team Tournament please vote (some are the same players)?
== 2018 PBEM 2vs2 Tournament ==
Depending on the result of the poll, we might have 31€ on top of the current prize pool of 86€. On top of that, we have a late donor, so we might end up with about 127€ in total. As explained in the prize page of the 2vs2 Tournament, that would cover 60€ for the prizes and 67€ for the Shadow Demon models for the Shadow Realm Expansion (see Wikia about it, and the main mod and RMG mod).
About 43 days left before round 3. The games which got delayed due to delays in round 2 should get an extension.

Match #4 ended with a score victory for Crusher of Clans.
The roster is not yet properly updated but information on the game blogs is correct so Crusher of Clans face Reckless mortals while Bastards of the North face SleepingDog & personian. Missing the class/race of Crusher and Bastards. Also, @Reckless and Sleepingdog & personian: please host ASAP and post screenshots of the settings.
Match #5 ends in about 3 weeks.

Reminder: round 2 will use v1.26. A NEW BRANCH OF THE BALANCE MOD will be used so that we can:
1/ keep the beta branch free to release v1.27 when it's ready, and then have sufficient time to test it
2/ maintain v1.25 on the main branch to let the remaining two matches finish with the same version as they started.
The new "Tournament branch" will be released by next week. Sorry about the inconvenience of having one more branch but it's hard to deal with the constraints of freezing one branch for each ongoing round of tournaments.

Some fixes were added to v1.26 on the beta branch. See the changelog for the final details of v1.26.
In particular "Units acquiring Floating through items, medals or upgrades are no longer affected by Twisting Roots" is reverted as it was not working properly. So be careful when using with AD or Sorcerer who got Floating through upgrades, etc.
14 days left until end of round. Please start thinking about your class/race for next round! Remember you can't choose the class/race of round 1 (and won't be able to pick the one from round 2 until round 8).
Match #4 and #5 got 2 weeks and 6 weeks of extension respectively due to team replacements. That won't delay the start of round 2 but it means some matches of round 2 will be delayed, sorry for those affected!
