I have created a 3vs 3 game. It wil be me, Evgendil, Jonny Thunder vs 3 players. If you have a team, good join as a team! If not, you are welcome to join as 3 solo players. We take no hostages, but we are very decent players.

about that tourney poll, its obvious that most votes will be for pbem 1v1 or 2v2 tournament bcz most users here prefer pbem over live .

It will be made easier to create teams and more info on them will be available. Also remember that at some points a 2 vs 2 team tournament will be organized. So I encourage everyone to find partners to train together!

2 other news not directly related to the Battlefield:

    Each episode is about 3 and 22 minutes and show 1 or 2 turns.
    For people doubting the strength of Necro, I strongly recommend watching episode #5 where I (more than?) double the size of my army and just exterminate Eskild which has no way to fight back. It's here : https://www.youtube.com/watch...
  • A balance mod is currently being worked on and it will be used in future PBEM tournaments. Your feedback on the proposed changes is welcome so that we design a good and balanced mod!

Basically, we've got 4 options to fix to Greater Reanimate undead: 

     
  1. make it target only allied units (Ne05a)

  2.  
  3. make it available later and at a higher cost (Ne05c, Ne05f)

  4.  
  5. limit it targets and especially make it impossible to reanimate Death Bringers (Ne05b, Ne05d, Ne05e)

  6.  
  7. limit its targets at the beginning but then make it evolve to a stronger ability when techs are researched (Ne05)

  8.  

 
Personally, I favour option 4/ because it has a smaller impact on Single player experience and is thus more likely to be adopted by Triumph. 
Here are the detailed candidates changes: 
  





















Ne05 GRU7 * “Lesser Reanimate Undead” is a prerequisite of Greater Reanimate Undead (GRU). GRU is available at level 11 (was level 7), for 8 points (was 7 points). GRU works only on allied units and only on T1 and T2. 
When a Necromancer player researches all its T1, T2, T3, and T4 strategic techs, GRU is upgraded to the current version (target T1 to T4 units and restore 100% health)
Ne05a Greater Reanimate Undead – works only on YOUR undeads, restores 75% HP (was 100%). Needs Lesser Reanimate Undead as prerequisite.
Ne05b Greater Reanimate Undead works only on T1, T2 and T3 (was up to T4)
Ne05c GRU1 * Increase cost of GRU: 6 -> 8
Ne05d GRU3 * Make mind-control immune and ghoul-curse immune units also immune against enemy unit reanimation
Ne05e GRU3bis * Make it impossible to target cadavers of Death Bringers
Ne05f GRU6 * Increase the level required to choose it: 7 -> 9

Ultimate MOD PBEM Series
So I have had quite a look through all the mods and got creative with designing …
not one , not two , but THREE very unique PBEM 2v2v2v2 Matches.

Each game uses a different set of between about 8 and 10 different mods.

Thematically Designed for stylistically different and incredibly unique PBEM experience.

They are all up and HOSTED already , but you will have to get a hold of me either via steam or on the battlefield website in order to be given the PRECIOUS password to whichever particular game catches your fancy.

* NOTES TO POTENTIAL PLAYERS WISHING TO JOIN.

A. You will likely NEED to be a steam user in order to be able to ** SUBSCRIBE ** to all these MODS.

B. It will be a slight PAIN in ASS turning on and off the MODS everytime you have to play your TURN , so if that’s a problem for you or you do not know how to manage your subscribed mods then you need to either figure that out (really not that difficult) or just not bother to join these FANCY pbem experiences.

C. Although once can never be certain , these are potentially going to be those VERY LONG EPIC type game that can drag out for a significant amount of time , Turn timer will be flexible , but you need to communicate to the host for any absence of note, and as well its a good idea to talk to your partner frequently over the course of the match.

D. there’s probably something else important to say , but it eludes me at the moment ….. oh yes , occasionally enjoy a glass of your favourite __________ while playing your turn.

I already posted that on the PBEM Tournament Player Pool without much success, so I post it here, hoping to get more answers. Without more inputs from the community, we will not be able to build an effective mod. That would be a shame because there are clearly huge imbalances in the game right now and they need to be fixed if we want to have fun games.


As you know, there is currently several balance discussions ongoing, some dedicated to Conversion, others to Necro, others to balance issues outside conversion & Necro, a last one to XP farming. There is also a more general discussion about the settings of the next PBEM tournament.
On the "other balance issues" discussion (which suppose that other issues, linked to conversion, XP farming, Necro, etc. are all solved), I checked the opinions of everyone so far and here are the changes that get at least 3 approvals and no disagreement. I flagged them as “Priority changes” and highlighted them in yellow in the table.
